Jason Sherry

Jason B. Sherry represents clients ranging from individuals to publicly traded corporations in complex commercial and real estate litigation. Mr. Sherry began his career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, an international law firm in New York, after graduating from New York University School of Law in 2008. Four years later, in 2012, Mr. Sherry relocated to Miami and, in January of 2019, founded Sherry Law Office PLLC.

Mr. Sherry has authored several articles in prominent publications and serves on state and federal civil procedure rules committees. Chief Judge Moore of the Southern District of Florida appointed Mr. Sherry to serve on the Southern District of Florida Local Rules Committee in 2018 and, in 2019, the President of The Florida Bar appointed Mr. Sherry to serve on the statewide Florida Civil Procedure Rules Committee. Mr. Sherry has authored articles in Bloomberg and, in 2016, was awarded the Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing, an honor jointly presented by the United States Library of Congress and American Bar Association for significant achievements in legal scholarship. In 2018, Mr. Sherry was named one of South Florida’s Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the South Florida Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and, that same year, the Southern District of Florida recognized Mr. Sherry with its Pro Bono Honor Roll.

Mr. Sherry has tried cases in federal court, state court, and arbitration. He focuses his practice in business disputes and has successfully represented clients in contract litigation, partnership and joint venture litigation, class actions, franchise disputes, real estate and construction litigation, and trade secret litigation.

Mr. Sherry serves on the Business Litigation Committee of the Florida Bar, the Campaign Committee of Legal Services for Greater Miami, and as a Board of Director on the NYU Law Alumni Association. He is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, the Southern District of New York, and the Eastern District of New York, and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Second and Eleventh Circuits.
